Rites of Passage
Puberty is a critical time when young people are finding their identities and making crucial choices. They need the support of adults in a larger commuity to assist them in their passage into adulthood. All of our ancestors once held puberty rituals, but very few communities have retained them. Those who want to support young people by creating contemporary initiations into womanhood or manhood are invited to meet together to build the community structure which will sponsor these events.

Another great time for a rite of passage is around menopause (age 50-60 for most women). Croning, or celebration of elderhood, is a wonderful ritual to do with close friends or family.
